The 7-night and 8-day journey on the Palace on Wheels takes you to amazing places in northern and north-western India. Itinerary

• Day 1 Delhi: The National Capital of India

  Delhi is India's capital and shows a mix of modern and traditional lifestyles. It's full of cultures, traditions, and politics. Visiting its ancient and medieval buildings is always a joy.

  • 16:00 HRS: Check-in at Safdarjung Railway Station.
  • 18:30 HRS: Depart for Jaipur.
  • Dinner on the Palace on Wheels.

  

  

• Day 2 Jaipur: The Pink City

  Jaipur, founded in 1727, is known as the 'Pink City' and is full of forts, palaces, and colorful markets.

  • 03:20 HRS: Arrive in Jaipur.
  • 07:00 HRS: Breakfast on board.
  • 08:15 HRS: Jaipur city tour. Visit Albert Hall Museum, Hawa Mahal, Jantar Mantar, and City Palace.
  • 13:30 HRS: Lunch at a star hotel.
  • 15:00 HRS: Visit Amber Fort and enjoy an elephant ride.
  • 17:00 HRS: Explore local markets in Jaipur.
  • 19:00 HRS: Return to the train.
  • 19:30 HRS: Dinner on board.
  • 20:00 HRS: Leave for Sawai Madhopur from Durgapura Railway Station.

• Day 3 Sawai Madhopur: / Chittorgarh

  Sawai Madhopur is known for Ranthambore National Park and the historic Ranthambore Fort. Chittorgarh is famous for its forts and tales of valor and romance.

  • 04:45 HRS: Arrive at Sawai Madhopur.
  • 06:30 HRS: Morning jungle safari in Ranthambore National Park.
  • 09:30 HRS: Return to the train and breakfast on board.
  • 10:30 HRS: Depart for Chittorgarh and lunch on board.
  • 15:40 HRS: Arrive in Chittorgarh.
  • 16:00 HRS: Sightseeing in Chittorgarh.
  • 18:00 HRS: Evening tea at Chittorgarh Fort with a light and sound show.
  • 19:30 HRS: Return to the train.
  • 20:00 HRS: Dinner on board.

• Day 4 Udaipur: City of Lakes

  Udaipur, also known as the 'City of Lakes', is one of Rajasthan's most romantic cities. It was founded in 1553 and has many tourist attractions.

  • 02:00 HRS: Depart from Chittorgarh to Udaipur.
  • 07:00 HRS: Arrive in Udaipur and have breakfast on board.
  • 09:00 HRS: Udaipur city tour. Visit Saheliyon Ki Bari, City Palace, and Crystal Gallery.
  • 13:00 HRS: Lunch at Fateh Prakash Hotel.
  • 14:30 HRS: Boat ride on Lake Pichola followed by evening tea.
  • 15:30 HRS: Return to the train station.
  • 16:00 HRS: Depart for Jaisalmer.
  • 20:00 HRS: Dinner on board.

• Day 5 Jaisalmer: The Golden City

  Jaisalmer, also called the Golden City, is famous for its Jaisalmer Fort. It was founded in 1156 AD and hosts an annual Desert Festival.

  • 07:30 HRS: Breakfast on board.
  • 08:30 HRS: Arrive in Jaisalmer.
  • 09:00 HRS: Sightseeing tour of Jaisalmer. Visit Gadsisar Lake, Jaisalmer Fort, Patwon ki Haveli, and Nathmal Ji ki Haveli.
  • 13:00 HRS: Lunch on board.
  • 15:30 HRS: Visit sand dunes and enjoy a camel ride followed by tea.
  • 19:45 HRS: Dinner at a 5-star hotel with a cultural program.
  • 23:00 HRS: Return to the train and depart for Jodhpur.

• Day 6 Jodhpur: The Blue City

  Jodhpur, known as the 'Sun City' and 'Blue City', was the capital of the Marwar kingdom. It is close to the Thar desert and has many attractions worth visiting.

  • 07:00 HRS: Arrive at Mandor Railway Station, Jodhpur.
  • 07:30 HRS: Breakfast on board.
  • 09:00 HRS: Tour Jodhpur. Visit Mehrangarh Fort, Jaswant Thada, Umaid Bhawan Museum, and shop in local markets.
  • 13:30 HRS: Lunch at the Palace Hotel.
  • 16:00 HRS: Return to the train to relax.
  • 16:30 HRS: Depart for Bharatpur.
  • 19:30 HRS: Dinner on board.

• Day 7 Bharatpur / Agra

  Bharatpur is known for the Keoladeo Ghana National Park, a haven for bird watchers. Agra, on the banks of the Yamuna River, is home to the Taj Mahal and other UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

  • 05:00 HRS: Arrive in Bharatpur.
  • 06:00 HRS: Early morning bird watching at Keoladeo Ghana National Park.
  • 08:30 HRS: Return to the train and breakfast on board.
  • 09:00 HRS: Depart for Agra.
  • 11:00 HRS: Arrive at Agra Cantt Railway Station.
  • 11:10 HRS: Sightseeing tour of Agra including Agra Fort.
  • 13:30 HRS: Lunch at a deluxe hotel.
  • 15:00 HRS: Visit the Taj Mahal.
